We have an active handwashing campaign going on in school.
Students should wash hands
- before eating
- after using the toilet
- after playing outside
- after coughing, sneezing or blowing their noses
- after handling pets (especially birds and reptiles)
Effective handwashing includes:
- Using soap and water
- Rubbing hands together, covering all surfaces and creating a lather
- Rubbing for at least 15 to 20 seconds (we teach them to sing the "ABC Song")
- Rinse and dry thoroughly
Signs are posted all over the school reminding children and adults to
WASH YOUR HANDS!!
